Associate Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
in a biotech company focused on the discovery, design and development of innovative peptide-based medicines
Currently, we are looking for a new Associate FP&A Manager, who will play a key role in our FP&A and Business Partnering team, focusing on general financial planning activities, business partnering for commercial contracts, and with a special focus on ESG (environmental, social and governance) reporting. As our new Associate FP&A Manager, you will become a part of our Finance & Accounting team, reporting to the Senior FP&A and Business Partnering Manager. Our team’s purpose is to support value creation trough efficient, high quality and user centric financial processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, external and internal stakeholders, to deliver on your key areas of responsibility.
You will be working out of our office in Søborg.
Responsibilities
- Finance lead for ESG reporting matters, which entails managing project activities to ensure the company meets all external requirements, leading the efforts to collect and automate the reporting of required data, and eventually contribute to a successful Annual Report delivery.
- Business Partnering with the other internal functions involved, such as Commercial, Alliances or Supply Chain, to ensure a successful management of a commercial contract with a key partner who will market and distribute a drug developed by Zealand Pharma. This means advising and supporting on all related financial matters, while ensuring the execution of the contract is within the financial requirements.
- Contributing to optimize internal processes to make life easier for ourselves and our colleagues.
- Contributing as part of the team to the annual Budget exercise, as well as the forecasting activities.
- Contribute with in-depth analyses to support forward-looking decision making, including scenario building and business steering.
- Create compelling and storytelling business presentations to a non-finance audience.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings some years of relevant experience from a similar position and possesses a sound understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial processes, while having a good business acumen. Digital savvy, the candidate will be promoting modern digital finance reporting tools.
We imagine that you have solid presentation skills and an expanded level of knowledge using Excel and PowerPoint.
You have proven stakeholder management skills, and you are comfortable working cross-functionally, being a healthy challenger to the organization asking the ‘why’ and ‘how’ questions, capable of smooth internal negotiations, and being a trusted partner to the organization.
Finally, the candidate shares the team’s values and displays the right ‘can do’ attitude, which is equally as important as experience and competencies.
Qualifications:
- Relevant educational background in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience in FP&A and Business Partnering, or management consulting.
- Interest in the ESG area, with a past exposure to the matter being a plus.
- Analytical mindset and a structured way of thinking
- A pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Digital reporting tools such as Power BI is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
- English fluency written and spoken, Danish a plus.
